Chad Roger Rugroden
Born December 10, 1962, age 57 (See other famous people my age)
Born in Minneapolis, son of Roger Russell Rugroden (the three R's) and Yvonne Idehl Nelson (only part of YIN/yang..and definitely one sided)
Grew up on an island on George Watch Lake in Lino Lakes Township, Minnesota.
2 sisters, Janet (Miss Lino Lakes in 1970)
Jill (A-list cheerleader and 1st string 1st chair flute in High school)
Both sisters graduated college in 3 years.
I graduated from Forest Lake Sr. High with noteable acheivements as well; I graduated 70th out of 502. But I never studied. I never took my trumpet home. Education is a natural gift in Minnesota and that is why we are ranked shoulder to shoulder with Vermont and New Hampshire in educational standards.
Montana State University from 1981-85. Transferred to Cal-Poly Pomona in 1986 to wrap up a degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, with a minor in Piano Performance and History.
Palm Springs, CA from 1986-2003. Successful C54 stone contractor and vibrant pianist. In 1994 I took a hiatus from work and operated as a private outfitter in Glacier National Park, MT.
Anchorage, Alaska 2003-2004 Ski school instructor for Alyeska resort where we received 700 of snow between Thanksgiving and Easter. The resort never closed that year.
Velarde, Lamy, Espanola, Peñasco, Santa Fe, Albuquerque, NM 2004-present. Various jobs as an artist handyman, engineer for SFSRR, and finally, a voice for the homeless here in ABQ.
